"Molo Umjani?" - Hello, how are you doing?
Known as the “rainbow nation”, South Africa is proud of its many diverse cultures and ethnic groups. Tourists from around the world are attracted to the friendliness of the country's people.
To involve the local community we offer training courses to young people from the surrounding townships, giving them the opportunity to become trained tour guides and surf instructors. We also host South-African cooking classes where locals show guest the process of baking Xhosa bread, cooking “pap en smoor” and braaiing snoek. This gives the locals a chance to showoff the vibrancy of African culture.
"Ever come home after a three hour surf, straving?"
South-African cuisine is influenced by the African, European and Malaysian kitchen. It’s spicy, colourful, versatile.. and simply delicious!
Our local team likes to prepare meals on the coals outside (famous snoek braai!). The majority of our meals are plant based with 90% of the ingredients sourced from local gardens. Expect mouth-watering creations like bobotie, soet patats and potjiekos!
We cater for all diets, let us know in advance and will whip you up delicious meals that you too can enjoy!

The villa is situated on a beautiful piece of rural land in Wilderness, the heart of the Garden Route. The villa is only 2km from our favourite local beach, Victoria Bay, and features an open and spacious design. The comfortable rooms are decorated with the colours of the Garden Route and overlook the breathtaking Outeniqua Mountains. The villa features an open kitchen and living room where we enjoy meals, drinks and play games together.
The 1 ha fynbos garden, natural rock swimming pool and our three friendly labradors complete the villa
MORE ABOUT WILDERNESS
Wilderness is a sun soaked, tranquil coastal town close to Victoria Bay. With it long sandy beaches it's a slice of paradise between the big cities Cape Town (4,5 hours) and Port Elizabeth (3,5 hours).
According to locals the name Wilderness finds its origin in the wish of a to-be-bride to have her honeymoon on a complete “wild” spot on the Garden Route. Anxious to receive the “yes” the groom took to cutting and sawing and built them a nest secluded. Here grew the town of Wilderness and this is where you'll find us.
